Held annually in July at Fawley Meadows, just outside Henley-on-Thames, the TTBR Traditional Boat Festival is a huge family weekend event showcasing some of the finest traditional boats to be seen on the River Thames.
It is a highly enjoyable opportunity for the owners and admirers of these unique craft to meet each other as well as members of the public, and it encourages them to cherish and restore their boats to all their former glory - hopefully to win one of the various trophies and prizes awarded each year.
Originally known as the Thames Traditional Boat Rally, the first event was held in 1978, and since then the original aims have been met in full, with the number of traditional craft seen in daily use on the River Thames and elsewhere growing year by year. Some have been restored by highly skilled craftsmen in the Thames boatyards, and some are the result of long months of loving work by enthusiastic amateurs - many fine examples of both are to be seen at the Festival, on land and in the sail-pasts that take place over the weekend.
Henwood and Dean welcomes visitors to our stand at the Festival to come and view the boats that we have on display.
